How To Activate Caller Id In Bsnl Landline Online

    Now India's Number one telecom company Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited providing free caller Id facility in landline phones all over India. Now BSNL has activated caller ID automatically in all connections. If the caller Id is not showing in your phone you can check following methods to activate caller Id.

Activation through Customer care
>>Activation Of Bsnl Caller Id can be done by Calling 1500 (from BSNL phone)/18003451500 (from other networks) and request for CLIP activation.

Activation Through Online
>>Activation through online by the help of bsnl self care 
         > Go to    >http://selfcare.edc.bsnl.co.in/ for Eastern India
                        >http://selfcare.wdc.bsnl.co.in/ for Western India
                        >http://selfcare.sdc.bsnl.co.in/ for Southern India
                        >http://selfcare.ndc.bsnl.co.in/ for Northern India
                             >Register if you don't have account log in to the website from the first page itself you can see the your landphone caller Id is active or not
         >If it is Not showing "active" Click on Services on the left top of the page
         >There you can see "Submit a Service Request" click on it and input the data required and submit.
         >It will be activated with in two days

Still Having Problem? 
         >You have activated the Caller ID and not getting the facility 
Check whether account information in Self care portal showing Calling Line Identification is "Active" If its active the problem is with your caller Id you may be using unsupported Caller ID spec in Cordless phone 
                  Sol: Get a converter compatible with BSNL Clip service

  1. Hello! I recently bought a landline phone with caller ID facility. I found this useful article regarding the activation of the same. I have followed all the steps as mentioned in your post. I chose 'Change the Landline Accessories' as Request Type. But in Request Sub Type, I found two options: CLIP-OWNED and CLIP-PURCHASED. I do not know what to choose. I would like to know the difference between the two and kindly tell me what to choose.

  2. Hi in my portal it says "NON CLIP - ACTIVE"
    can you guide me through this.

    fyi: it says active in portal but not working in landline.

  4. Hello! I recently purchased Motorola telephone CT202i and followed your procedure but I did not see any CLIP activation on http://selfcare.wdc.bsnl.co.in, then I contacted BSNL about this they keep telling me the issue has been resolved! What should I do now?
